(Rochester, WA) South Sound Speedway was bustling with excitement on Saturday, August 15, 2026, as seven divisions competed throughout the evening. The program featured the D & S Light Truck and Auto USA Late Models, Crown Stocks, Legends, Legends/Young Lions, CSM Heating Cooling, Roofing & Solar South Sound Modifieds, Bandoleros, and WMRA.
D & S Light Truck and Auto USA Late Model Main Event
The 11-car, 50-lap feature began with Kyle Kinzebach starting on the pole and Armando Ramirez alongside. Kinzebach led the opening lap, but Aaron Flett took over on lap 18 and went on to secure the victory in the USA Late Model main event.
The finishing order was Aaron Flett, followed by Mike Brooks (DQ), Robert Clark, Tom Sweatman, and Randy Garcia.
Fast Time: Randy Garcia at 14.536.
Crown Stock Main Event
In the 11-car, 35-lap Crown Stock feature, Mitch James started on the pole with Steven Gomes on the outside. Jason Mauerman led lap 1, Tommy Hecker took the lead on lap 3, and Donnie Steele took the lead on lap 16. Steele went on to win the event, followed by Hecker, Travis McGregor, Doug Wilde, and Alex Kieff.
Fast Time: Donnie Steele at 18.002.
Doug Wilde won heat race #1, and Travis McGregor won heat race #2.
CSM Heating Cooling, Roofing & Solar South Sound Modifieds Main Event
The 8-car, 35-lap feature started with Pete Tyree on the pole and Armando Ramirez on the outside. Ramirez led lap 1, Riley Watson took the lead on lap 7, and a caution occurred on lap 15, turn 2, for Monte Cox Jr. turning Royce Iverson.
Riley Watson won the South Sound Modifieds main event, followed by Kalob Watson, Dan Walker, Monte Cox Jr., and Brad Watson.
Fast Time: Riley Watson at 14.669.
Kalob Watson won the heat race.
Legend Main Event
The 8-car, 30-lap Legend feature began with Rick McNeill on the pole and Davis Jacobson on the outside. McNeill led lap 1, Josh Wharton took over on lap 2, and Roland McPeake took the lead on lap 3. On lap 24, front stretch, Alexis Markham spun, causing the first caution.
On the restart, McPeake got loose, and William Evans and Markham spun, bringing out the second caution. Dylan Wolf claimed the lead on lap 25 and won the Legends main event, followed by McPeake, Matt Barrett, Jacobson, and Wharton.
Fast Time: Roland McPeake at 15.552.
Dylan Wolf won the heat race.
Young Lions Main Event
The 4-car, 15-lap Young Lions feature started with Brynlee Markham on the pole and Richie Rector on the outside. Rector led lap 1, and Carter Sweatman spun in turn 4, triggering the first caution. On lap 5, debris in turns 1 and 2 brought out the second caution. Sweatman took the lead on lap 9, but Rector spun on the back stretch, causing the third caution.
On the restart, Sweatman spun in turn 1, resulting in the fourth caution. At the next restart, Sweatman spun again on the back stretch, causing the fifth caution. Leilani Langston took the lead on lap 10.
On lap 11, Sweatman spun Rector on the back stretch, leading to the sixth caution. Langston won the Young Lions main event, followed by Markham, Rector, and Sweatman.
Fast Time: Carter Sweatman at 16.102.
Carter Sweatman won the heat race.
Bandolero Main Event
The 8-car, 15-lap Bandolero feature started with TJ Schlund on the front row. Schlund led lap 1 but spun on lap 3, turn 2, causing the first caution. Thatcher Olsen took the lead on lap 4. On lap 8, turn 4, Karsen Schlund spun and hit the wall, resulting in the second caution and a red flag.
Olsen went on to win the Bandolero main event, followed by Chase Johnson, Rylan Presley, Payton Haider, and TJ Schlund.
Fast Time: TJ Schlund at 18.190.

WMRA Main Event
The 10-car, 35-lap WMRA feature began with Kiel Vaillant on the pole and Josh Westerfield on the outside. Rickey Worley led lap 1 and won the WMRA main event, followed by Westerfield, Tony Seidelman, Rob Lindsey, and Danny Mathews.
Fast Time: Tony Seidelman at 13.71.
Josh Westerfield won heat race #1, and Tony Seidelman won heat race #2.
