(Rochester, WA) South Sound Speedway hosted a full night of racing on Saturday, August 8, 2026, with four divisions on the schedule and main-event action in each class.
*Hinkle Homes Hobby Stocks: 12 cars, 35 laps
*Olympia Overhead Doors Vintage Modifieds: 9 cars, 30 laps
*O’Reilly Auto Parts Baby Grands: 7 cars, 30 laps
*North American Big Rigs: 9 trucks, 40 laps
Hinkle Homes Hobby Stock Main Event
Andrew Woods stared on the pole with Issiah Gill alongside him. Gill led the opening lap before Levi Allen moved to the front on lap 7 and Shawn Jones took over on lap 9.
The race was slowed by three cautions: Kamery Welton spun in turn 4 on lap 6, Jeremy Cleveland spun in turn 2 on lap 11, and Jones spun Andrew Woods on lap 34. Steve Prissel took the lead on lap 35 and went on to win the 35-lap Hobby Stock main event.
Top five: Steve Prissel, Eric Woods, Joe Champ, Levi Allen, and Shawn Jones.
Heat winners: Issiah Gill won heat #1, and Shawn Jones won heat #2.
Dash winner: Issiah Gill.
Fast time: Shawn Jones, 15.575 (Record).
Olympia Overhead Doors Vintage Modifieds Main Event
Dave Larsen started on the pole with Chris Branon on the outside. Branon led lap 1 before Joey Cavin moved ahead on lap 3.
Cavin spun in turn 4 on lap 22 to bring out the first caution, and Jeff Peterson took the lead on lap 23. A second caution came on lap 28 when Larson spun in turns 1 and 2. Scott Rinkel took the lead on lap 30 and won the 30-lap Vintage Modified main event.
Top five: Scott Rinkel, Jeff Peterson, George Chambers, Bob Fulmer, and Chris Branon.
Heat winners: Scott Rinkel won the heat.
Dash winner: Chris Branon.
Fast time: Bob Fulmer, 15.150.
O’Reilly Auto Parts Baby Grand Main Event
Hemi Franks started on the pole with Ryan Hughes to the outside. Derrick Presley led lap 1 before a lap-4 caution came out when Peyton Presley received a mechanical flag for leaking fuel. Steven Mitchell took the lead on lap 5 and went on to win the 30-lap Baby Grand main event.
Top five: Steven Mitchell, Derrick Presley, Ryan Hughes, Hemi Franks, and Peyton Presley.
Heat winners: Derrick Presley won the heat.
Dash winner: Derrick Presley.

North American Big Rig Main Event
Jaeger Berdahl started on the pole with Dylan Swanstrom alongside him. Swanstrom led lap 1 before Brady Riplinger took over on lap 6.
Swanstrom spun in turn 4 on lap 8 to bring out the caution. Cole Wiesner took the lead on lap 9 and went on to win the 40-lap Big Rigs main event.
Top five: Cole Wiesner, Brady Riplinger, Tyler Nonamaker, Ashley Credd, and Cory Riplinger.
Heat winners: Jaeger Berdahl won heat #1, and Cole Wiesner won heat #2.
Dash winner: Jaeger Berdahl.
