(Katlama, WA) It’s Breeder’s Cup weekend! And Larry is ready to lay out his picks for all 14 races. Larry is also going to take on the Emerald Downs Handicappers who contributed to our full Breeders Cup Coverage (on this link), in a head-to-head battle for the prestigious “Larry’s Breeders Cup Handicapper Champion” .
Our BC Handicapping Challenge is listed first and is followed by Larry’s picks and bets for the 5 Friday races followed by the 9 Saturday races. Remember Emerald Downs is open both days opening early with free parking and admission. More information on Emerald’s Breeders Cup days is on this link.
Good luck everyone!
Update: Well I hope you took none of Larry’s (certainly not Lucky) but horrendous Picks. Blanked! Cashed nothing! Now to be fair, Larry’s philosophy is throwing out the favorites in the Breeders Cup and trying to hit the big one! Unfortunately, it was a big favorite day, therefore, Larry sucked. Saturday CANNOT be any worse.
Larry’s BC Handicapping Challenge
The rules are each contestant will handicap both the Breeders Cup Turf and the Breeders Cup Classic. Plus 4 other races. Our contestants Joe Withee, John Lindley and Vince Bruun each took 4 of the remaining 12 races and you can see their picks below or go to our Breeders Cup coverage on the link above and you can read their reasoning behind their picks.
Each contestant has 6 races selected so Larry will also compete and will use the Turf and Classic along with four randomly selected races. Each selection will be assigned a $2 win, place, and show, or the $6 combo. Total winnings will determine the winner.
Larry’s BC Challenge Results
1st Vince Bruun Total $105.26
2nd Joe Withee Total $104.82
3rd John Lindley Total $81.82
4th Larry Total $29.32
