(Rochester, WA) South Sound Speedway hosted a busy night of racing on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The program included the D & S Light Truck and Auto USA Late Models; CSM Heating, Cooling, Roofing & Solar South Sound Modifieds; Legends; Young Lions; Bandoleros; and the Pro-Am Drift Tour.
D & S Light Truck and Auto USA Late Model Main Event
The 12-car, 50-lap feature began with Tom Sweatman on the pole and Randy Garcia alongside him. Sweatman led
from the opening lap, but on lap 40 he scraped the wall on the backstretch and surrendered the lead. Garcia moved
ahead and held on to win.

CSM Heating Cooling, Roofing & Solar South Sound Modifieds Main Event
The eight-car, 35-lap feature opened with Armando Ramirez on the pole and Brad Watson on the outside. Ramirez led
the first lap before Monte Cox Jr. took over on lap 3. Heather Watson spun in turn 2 on lap 23, bringing out the race’s
first caution. Cox remained in command and went on to win.

Legend Main Event
The 14-car, 35-lap Legends feature began with Madi Weber on the pole and Josh Wharton on the outside. Wharton led
the opening six laps before Tristan Haider moved to the front on lap 7. Haider stayed there to claim the victory.

Young Lions Main Event
The six-car, 15-lap Young Lions feature began with Richie Rector on the pole and Leilani Langston on the outside.
Rector spun at the initial green flag, prompting a complete restart. Caleb Canfield led lap 1, but Rector moved ahead
on lap 2. Canfield then circulated the track with smoke showing, bringing out the second caution. Carter Sweatman
took the lead on lap 3, shortly before Langston hit the wall in turn 1 for the third caution. Mason Blodgett moved to the
front on lap 7. A fourth caution followed when Langston spun in turn 4 on lap 11, but Blodgett stayed ahead to win.

Bandolero Main Event
The eight-car, 15-lap Bandolero feature began with Rylan Presley on the front row. Presley took the lead on lap 1 and
remained in control through four cautions. Chase Johnson spun in turn 4 on lap 5 for the first caution. On the restart,
Chase Hormann and Ryder Jones made contact in turns 1 and 2, prompting another caution. Karsen Schlund then spun
in turns 3 and 4 on the second restart, producing a third caution on lap 5. Jones spun in turn 4 on lap 10 for the final
caution. Presley held the lead to the finish.
